Tasting America
Host, Gary Takle takes average Americans on a journey to discover new and exciting cuisines right here on our shores. We dine at three restaurants to sample the food in a unique region of the United States. From San Francisco to Boston, viewers will discover the hidden parts of America as they sample the food, get to know the people and be immersed in all this great country has to offer. After their bellies are full the participants and host discuss each of the restaurants and the foods they experienced. They’’ll discuss what they liked at the end, when all is said and done, they ‘ll crown one their favourite.
Season One
Today we’re going discover all that is Japanese cuisine, and we are not going to do it from Japan. I mean why when you can encounter a true Japanese experience right here in San Francisco.
Mexican food is as eclectic as cultures that exist there. Its food is loved all over the world. Today we are going to try some unique Mexican food right here in Los Angeles.
Seafood is delicious. This fruit of the sea is best eaten when it’s fresh. There’s no better place in the United States to indulge in this delicate fare then right here in San Diego, California.
Some folk really love their meat and none more than the good people of America. So we search for the best steakhouse in Sin City. That’s right here in Las Vegas Nevada.
There is an ancient culture that’s fascinating. So many people from this land have settled here in Los Angeles and brought their cuisine with them. There is no other food as carefully crafted than Japanese cuisine.

Tampa is fast becoming a cool town with cache. Today we are venturing into the city and it’s all about the food. Charles Coe a TV chef takes us to three restaurants all very different to the other. We will choose our favorite dish of the day.
The deserts of America are hot & hostile. It’s hard to believe that the good folk of America love to live here. The town we are about to see is thriving. Known for its mid century modern architecture & resorts, no town does cool like Palm Springs.
Season Two
Santa Barbara is often referred to as The American Riviera. It’s where golden hillsides cascade into sparkling seas, and today we are here for the food. We are going on a tasting tour of three famous restaurants in this diverse city.
Laguna beach is is a 7 mile stretch of beautiful coastline, but today we are here for the food. Our guest today is Kacey Taormina from Bravos’ Real Estate Wars and Laguna go to girl for top end real estate.
